The controversy between Offset and Quality Control Music has now become full-fledged as Cardi B defends the American rapper Offset in his fresh lawsuit against Quality Control regarding the rights to his solo career.
According to the documents he filed in the lawsuit as reported by TMZ, OffSet accused QC of not honoring a deal they made back in January 2021 regarding his solo music career. Offset claimed that he negotiated his solo deal with Quality Control which involved him paying “handsomely” for his artist rights. However, in an action that the rapper calls “hostile,” QC has made attempts to claim his newly released solo single, “54321.”
On Wednesday, Quality Control Music co-founder Pierre “Pee” Thomas and Offset exchanged words on social media regarding the fresh lawsuit.
“The last lawsuit was filed publicly and dismissed quietly,” said Thomas. “Let’s see how this one go. Been to real for all this lame sh*t. Everyone know the real problem.”
“N-ggas act like im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back Nigga you black balled me I ain’t said Shìt one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit,” Offset responded.
The heat became even more intense on Twitter when Offset’s wife, Cardi B took to the social media platform to support his husband in the controversy. “Offset bought himself out his Qc deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract,” she said. “I’m tired of people trying to make offset look like the bad guy …..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”
According to reports, Offset is releasing another song titled “Code” featuring Moneybagg Yo this Friday.
