RiRi also created an alternative album cover for her album Talk That Talk, showing weed smoke flowing from her mouth. Some of her songs also refer to the plant, including “James Joint,” where she sings, “I’d rather be smoking weed whenever we breathe.”

Cyrus took a break from cannabis for a period around 2019 after vocal cord surgery. Her reasons were to give her voice a break and be “clear and sharp” when making her music and attending interviews. However, her mother re-introduced her to the herb about a year later.

Since Miley Cyrus started enjoying weed again, CBD only this time around, she said she enjoys it when she’s not working. Both of her parents also love smoking the herb. She’s made jokes about her mother wanting to quit as the singer’s manager and grow a cannabis farm.
