Hollywood is home to many interesting characters, each unique in their own way. Are there any relatable celebrities you admire for their passions and quirks? If you enjoy cannabis, you may be excited to learn about a few famous female smokers who also love it.

From Rihanna to Megan Fox, several female idols have expressed their support for the medicinal and recreational uses of marijuana. Some created their own brand of weed products, while others might enjoy growing strains from Blue Dream feminized seeds of this website.

Rihanna

Rihanna has never been ashamed of sharing her love for marijuana. Do you remember the photo of her rolling a blunt on a member of her security personnel’s head at Coachella? It inspired a meme that proved stoners wouldn’t let anything stop them from having a good time.

RiRi also created an alternative album cover for her album Talk That Talk, showing weed smoke flowing from her mouth. Some of her songs also refer to the plant, including “James Joint,” where she sings, “I’d rather be smoking weed whenever we breathe.”

Lady Gaga

The Mother Monster is another female celebrity smoker who isn’t shy about loving cannabis. She stated in interviews that it helps her make music and manage her anxiety. In her documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, she said weed helps treat her fibromyalgia pain.

At one point, Lady Gaga “gave Beyonce a panic attack” when she smoked a joint in front of her fellow singer. She uses weed more for medicinal purposes, saying it helps her cope with the stress of touring.

Anna Faris

Anna Faris is well-known for playing funny characters and has starred in a few stoner comedies. She’s so good at playing a pothead that she won the 2007 “Stonette of the Year” award from High Times magazine. She received the bong-shaped trophy for her role in the film Smiley Face.

Whether Anna Faris thinks smoking or vaping weed is better, she admitted to enjoying her award bong from time to time.

Apart from her stoner roles, Anna Faris is also among the female celebrities that smoke weed in real life. She’s often spoken about normalizing conversations about the herb and has advocated for its use worldwide.

 

Jennifer Lawrence

In 2021, Jennifer Lawrence played the role of a stoner astronomer in the movie Don’t Look Up. The actress said she smoked weed before filming to prepare for playing the character. She’s also enjoyed the herb in real life from time to time.

Lawrence also recounted her experience at the 60th birthday celebration for Ellen DeGeneres in 2018. At the party, she smoked weed with a group of rappers and “…Entered a different universe.” She also enjoyed a puff with one of her brothers at an Academy Awards show. 

 

Martha Stewart

Martha Stewart has inspired many people through the years with her lifestyle advice and cooking shows. She’s friends with Snoop Dogg and said she enjoyed the secondhand weed smoke benefits from spending time with the rapper. He even influenced her business ventures.

Although she’s not among the female celebrities that smoke cannabis, she learned how CBD products help handle pain and medical ailments. After the discovery, the businesswoman started creating and selling cannabidiol wellness gummies, soft gels, and oils. 

 

Bella Thorne

This ex-Disney Channel starlet was against weed until her brother gave her some from his stash to help her sleep. Since then, Bella Thorne has admitted to enjoying it and that it helps alleviate her anxiety. She even has a dedicated marijuana section in her kitchen.

Thorne valued the benefits of weed so much that she started her cannabis brand Forbidden Flowers in 2019. She aims to break the plant’s negative stigma and encourage self-empowerment with her products.

 

Miley Cyrus

Disney Channel has produced other famous female stoners, including Miley Cyrus, a former child star-turned-weed lover. The Hannah Montana actress and singer said she would consume it to help balance her responsibilities when she was filming the show.

Cyrus took a break from cannabis for a period around 2019 after vocal cord surgery. Her reasons were to give her voice a break and be “clear and sharp” when making her music and attending interviews. However, her mother re-introduced her to the herb about a year later.

Since Miley Cyrus started enjoying weed again, CBD only this time around, she said she enjoys it when she’s not working. Both of her parents also love smoking the herb. She’s made jokes about her mother wanting to quit as the singer’s manager and grow a cannabis farm.

Some people may be surprised by the number of famous female smokers who enjoy weed. These celebrities aren’t ashamed to express their support for the plant. Some have become marijuana advocates and openly share the benefits it has for them.

  • Megan Fox, who fell in love with Machine Gun Kelly not long after he told her, “I am weed.”
  • Kate Hudson, who has enjoyed smoking cannabis with her parents, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.
  • Kathy Bates, who starred in a cannabis sitcom Disjointed and tokes on medical marijuana to treat chronic pain.
  • Tove Lo, who said she smoked a weed pipe with Wiz Khalifa in the studio while recording their song “Influence.”
  • Cameron Diaz, who admitted to purchasing weed from Snoop Dogg in high school.
  • Charlize Theron, who shared that cannabis helps her to sleep better.
