They say life imitates art, and vice versa—however, Demetrius Flenory Jr. appears to be taking the coined phrase a tad too literal. On Monday, Lil Meech was detained on a felony gun charge after a pistol was unearthed in his luggage while journeying through a Florida airport.
After bringing a firearm with him to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Lil Meech was caught and ended up in Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail. The BMF star was charged with carrying a concealed firearm. Approximately 1:30 p.m., Lil Meech was stopped for toting a gun in his bag while at a TSA checkpoint, claimed the sheriff’s office. After deputies were summoned, they learned the actor did not possess a license to carry it.
Lil Meech has since been let go on a $2,500 bond. “What the f**!” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram regarding Flenory Jr.’s apprehension. “LIL Meech didn’t hear them say cut. BMF returns Jan 6 Black mafia Fridays.” Michael Rainey Jr., a Power star who’s publicly had slight beef with Lil Meech in the past, commented on 50 Cent’s post, “When trynna prove BMF is more realistic than Power goes wrong *laughing emoji”

Mandrell “Drell” Rolle, bodyguard of Lil Meech, has even come forward about the illegal gun following the arrest. “What happened was me and Meech have the same exact bag,” said Rolle. “Me mistakenly moving too fast, I didn’t check my bag in with the firearm inside of it. We both was rushing and he grabbed my bag and I grabbed his.”
Rolle continued, “I’d like to apologize to Meech and his family and STARZ for what it caused because it was a mistake and now it’s all over the Internet. It was an accident. I tried to claim it but TSA didn’t let me claim anything, they just went straight to booking him.”
