Yes! Da Brat is pregnant and expecting her first child together with her wife, Jesseca (owner of haircare giant Kaleidoscope).
On Tuesday (Feb. 21), Brat and her lovely lady (also known as Judy) made the announcement that they are expecting their first child together with the help of photographer Derek Blanks and a gangster theme to complement Brat’s rap persona.
In an interview with People Magazine, the Chicago-born lyricist said, “I thought it wasn’t in the cards for me.”
Additionally, she gave an insight into how the journey has been so far, highlighting some of her struggles. She expressed, “It’s been quite a journey.”
According to reports, Brat’s pregnancy hasn’t been a smooth one. Before the 48-year-old and her partner, Jesseca, could conceive, she had to carry out an embryo transfer and undergo surgery to remove fibroids and polyps from her body.
Her wife revealed a little piece of the rapper’s baby bump in a picture that she put on her Instagram page, which you can see here. The “Funkdafied” rhymer sported a red-and-white ensemble consisting of red joggers, a white jacket, and a cap. Also, she completed the look with a pair of red shoes.

After first meeting in 2017, the two lovers started dating in 2019 and the pair quickly knew they were soul mates. Da Brat and Jesseca tied the knot last year in a romantic small wedding in Georgia. They both parent Jesseca’s three children from previous relationships.
The third season of their WE TV show, Brat Loves Judy, will document the couple’s decision to have an anonymous donor carry their child. Tune in to get more details!
