Teyana Taylor is a legend in the making. A wife and mother of two, Teyana Taylor has achieved a lot throughout her years in the industry and is constantly climbing the ladder to the top.
In her recent interview with Angie Martinez (that was released April 21, 2023), Teyana reveals that she wished that the little girl who signed to Pharrell’s label would’ve fought a little more.
Many may not remember that Teyana Taylor signed to Pharrell’s label at the age of 15 before leaving in 2012 where she signed with Kanye West’s GOOD Music and Def Jam.
Throughout her career she released music that went viral on many social platforms such as, Gonna Love Me, Made It, How You Want It, Wake Up Love…and many more. But her creativity didn’t just stop at music.
In 2021, Teyana announced her company Aunties 360 Production which she uses to help other creatives. She is the creative director for PrettyLittle Thing (a clothing brand) and has recently produced her newest movie A Thousand and One, which was released on March 31st, 2023, and can be viewed in theaters and on Amazon Prime now.
For many of her fans, learning that Teyana Taylor is now a creative director for Latto created so much buzz on social media. There are many people who are giving Teyana her flowers due to the work that she is putting in behind the scenes.
Teyana posted the BTS of Latto’s performance at Coachella over the weekend which confirmed that these two women have been working together. Not only has Teyana helped Latto with the Coachella performance but she also helped with iHeart Awards as well.
Teyana Taylor is constantly creating a space for creatives and making her dreams come to life. She is giving herself the push that she wasn’t able to give herself when she was younger. She is becoming a woman of many trades and I’m sure her story will not stop here.
