Doja Cat is spilling the tea on her previous album releases, and it’s got fans buzzing! The rapper/singer recently took to Twitter to confess that her previous albums, 2019’s “Hot Pink” and 2021’s “Planet Her,” were simply “cash-grabs” made solely for profit.

She wrote on Twitter, “Planet Her and Hot Pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it.” “Now I can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”

Following her confession, she revealed the official title of her upcoming album. The eccentric Cali rapper had previously hinted it would be called “Hellmouth.” But in a dramatic twist, she revealed on Twitter that the album’s name is “First of All.”

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Doja Cat’s new album for months, and the rapper has been teasing it on social media. In a recent Instagram Live session, Doja played a snippet of new music. The new album seems to lean more toward her rap roots, as the artist has previously expressed a desire to focus more on her rap career. She has been vocal about her desire to be taken seriously as a rapper. Last month, Doja tweeted that she was done making pop records among other things.

A fan commented on Twitter about the snippet saying the album is “gonna flop,” because doja fans prefer her pop sound and not rap. Doja replied to the tweet “purging.”

Seems that she’s letting fans know that she has decided on what type of music she wants to be making going forward, and if you don’t like it…well that’s on you.

Do you think Doja’s album is going to be a flop or not?
