Multi-hyphenate, Elijah Blake has returned with a brand new single. Known for his introspective R&B sound, he has unveiled a new track that delves into the complexities of a fading relationship. The new Elijah Blake Ghostbuster single is out now.
In 2023 Elijah released his EP, Chateau Lane, which included the singles, “More” and “Deux” featuring Jordin Sparks. With “Ghostbuster” Blake finds himself on MNRK Records, for what will be his first full length album since 2021’s The Neon Eon.
Sonically, “Ghostbuster” draws inspiration from classic soul with lush strings and a yearning vocal delivery. Yet, Blake infuses the track with contemporary production elements, creating a sonic bridge between heartbreak from the past and the fresh pain of the present. The single is produced by Elijah and Rell The SB.
“With “Ghostbuster,” I wanted to create a sonic and visual journey that transcends boundaries, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in a hauntingly beautiful experience. It’s a blend of my musical roots with a modern twist, and I’m thrilled to share this artistic expression with the world,” said Elijah Blake.
The accompanying music video is an atmospheric, cinematic experience reminiscent of “Interview with a Vampire.” Directed by Sean Alexander, the video follows Elijah Blake as he navigates the hauntings of his past. Elijah’s seductive presence illustrates the bittersweet lyrics of the track.
The video also features 2019’s Miss World Toni-Ann Singh, while Yashua Simmons serves as the Costume Designer/Producer.
The Elijah Blake Ghostbuster single is available now on all major streaming platforms. Fans of soulful R&B will definitely want to add this to their playlists.
Blake is in the studio putting the final touches on his new album, which is set to be released this June.
