On August 10th, Lifetime is revisiting the story of America’s favorite psychic, Miss Cleo. The network will premiere the Miss Cleo biopic, Miss Cleo: Her Rise and Fall, starring Robin Allen, known professionally as Lady of Rage. Known for her popular catchphrase, “Call Me Now,” Miss Cleo became a popular figure in America. But just as quickly as she rose to fame, she crashed out and her image, legacy and all that she gained, all went south.
Miss Cleo: Her Rise and Fall Synopsis
The epic journey picks up in the late 90s’ when, single mom Youree Dell Harris finds herself desperate to take care of her family and takes a job at the Psychic Readers Network — only to become one of the networks most beloved personalities, Miss Cleo. But her challenges don’t end there and when the network faces allegations of fraud and deception, they turn their sights on Miss Cleo. For the first time ever, Miss Cleo’s side of the story will finally be told.

Joining Allen in the cast are Shane Johnson of ‘Power’ and Ian Bohen of ‘Yellowstone’, along with Daphne Maxwell Reid, Cocao Brown, Dwayne Boyd, Towanda Braxton, Jaida Standberry, Marley Taylor, Amelia Young, Stevie Baggs Jr. and Leslie Black. The film is directed by ‘Sister, Sister’ star Tim Reid.

Following the premiere of the biopic, Lifetime will premiere the Miss Cleo documentary, Call Me Miss Cleo. The documentary was previously released on Max back in 2022.
Call Me Miss Cleo synopsis
Call Me Miss Cleo the documentary chronicles the icons rise, fall, and reinvention of the ’90s TV psychic Miss Cleo. Known for her larger-than-life persona and memorable accent, Miss Cleo, born Youree Dell Harris, garnered a nationwide cult following on the Psychic Readers Network, a popular telephone hotline that later came under fire for its alleged deceptive practices. Featuring interviews with celebrities and those closest to the self-proclaimed voodoo priestess, the film explores the many layers behind a complicated and charismatic figure.
Miss Cleo television series
Earlier this year it was announced that Sanaa Lathan would executive produce and star in a series about Miss Cleo. The series is still in development, with no home revealed for the series, streaming or otherwise.
The series is described as a darkly comedic drama inspired by the true-life story of the star of the psychic pay-per-call service. It will explore how her infamous rise gave way to a contentious court case by the government involving upwards of $500M.
Lifetime’s Miss Cleo: Her Rise and Fall, is set to air Aug. 10 at 8/7c, followed the documentary, Call Me Miss Cleo.
