2024 really has been something else! Remy Ma and Papoose drama was not on the bingo card! And it comes almost a year after we learned that Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert were getting a divorce!
Remy Ma and Papoose have long been synonymous with the term “Black Love.” Although times may get strenuous their relationship has been very resilient over almost two decades. With Remy and Papoose meeting back in 2004, Papoose has gone from holding it down as Remy sat in jail beginning back 2008 for an eight year bid, to being able to exchange vows with one another on live television! Through it all, the loyalty Papoose appeared to demonstrate was admired by fans wholeheartedly.
Although a story may seem happy there’s always more…
Over the years Remy and Papoose have shown that their relationship may not be as perfect as it is pictured. Many rumors started to be spread about the relationship in 2022 whether it was infidelity or public disputes, showing riffs in this once perfectly framed relationship. The internet has been widely suggesting Remy was secretly dating battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain. There were rumors of a physical altercation. It didn’t help that Remy Ma and Papoose have not been pictured together on social media or in public for what feels like at least a couple of years. Even at functions where it would make sense that they are together, (like Fat Joe’s birthday party or Fabolous’ birthday party earlier this year) there was still no evidence that they were even in the same room together.

And then, after complete silence on the rumors and everything else, it all came to an unfortunate head with what will forever be referred to as the December crash out. Private knowledge about the couple was shared on Remy’s page, messages between Papoose and his “new girlfriend” she alleged. The message said “You are the one who is married! If you can’t at least sleep on the phone with me or be with me in person… it shouldn’t be a big deal to let me know you made it home safe.” Remy captioned “Papoose dumb a** fell asleep on the phone with @claressashields [laughing emojis] Laying in my house he refuses to leave. This bi**h was supposed to be a world champion boxer and her scary a** hung up as soon as she heard my voice [laughing emojis]. Now I’m telling you everything! Oh, and baby girl, you’re not the only one [shrug emoji].” And several other jabs at the pair.
Papoose clapped back saying she was mad that he had moved on and that he had asked for a divorce “ numerous “ times. He then went on to call her a narcissist due to her being able to justify cheating. Fans reacted to this in a variety of ways.
