Over the last few days, a viral video has been going around called, “I Married A Monster.” The video was posted by a woman who goes by the name Isis. She’s a YouTuber who has created a podcast and website surrounded by the idea of being an ideal trophy wife. The latest posted video instantly brings to mind the viral Reesa Tessa “Who TF Did I Marry?” videos. While this video was much more condensed and wasn’t split into a 50 part TikTok series, the premise behind the I Married A Monster viral video is somewhat similar.
The 18-minute video already has over 2 million views as of this post. The video was captioned on YouTube with “Was scared to post this… please be kind.”
Isis has over 60k subscribers and her Podcast series, The Trophy Wife routinely gets 10k + views. She posted consistently on her YouTube and on her website, but then about 8 months ago, she completely stopped. She hasn’t posted to her instagram page since February 2024.
“I Married A Monster” helps explain why.
The I Married A Monster viral video is a reminder that regardless of how much you may think you can know a person, there may still be things that you don’t know. You’ll never truly know as a person.
Isis explains that she wanted to be the ideal trophy wife. She details how she went as far bending over backwards for someone she believed was an ideal man. But, the longer she was around him the more she would notice that things were changing with him. She noticed more and more things that she did not like. But like many people, she brushed it off. By then, they were also married, so that gave her more reason to disregard his red flags.
Isis continues in video to explain how and why she feels like she married a monster, revealing in detail what she’s accusing him of and how it has completely ruined the perfect life she thought she had. We won’t ruin the video for you, but you can certainly check it out for yourself below.
Isis has also launched a GoFundMe, seeking support from viewers as well. As of this writing she has raised almost $2500.
The video has made its round on social media and users on X (formerly Twitter) were torn on how to feel. Here’s what some had to say:
I respect her for opening up and taking her kids away from that monster but I hope we don’t shield her from responsibility. She got married to that man in a week and was looking for all the wrong things in a partner. https://t.co/pVXzJcC51Q

The ‘She married a monster’ video on YouTube has to be one of the hardest videos to watch but I admire the courage it takes to not only come on the internet with that but to make sure it’s reported. This’ll encourage others to step up & raise awareness too.Praying for her & kids🤲🏾
