Prime Video is keeping viewers on their toes with a fresh new movie from the Oscar-winning producer, Tyler Perry, titled Finding Joy, and the cast is ready to put you in the holiday spirit.
Synopsis
The romantic must-watch series follows the lead character Joy, a bright lady trying to make it big as a fashion designer in New York. While trying to chase romance, she catches an opportunity to chase a relationship with her crush. Caught in a snowstorm in Colorado, a career wreck and romantic confusion, what is next for Joy?
The cast of Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy on Prime Video are Shannon Thornton as Joy, Tosin Morohunfola as Ridge, Brittany S. Hall as Ashley, and Inayah as Littia. Other cast members are Eric Stanton Betts, Aaron O’Connell, Natalie O’Connell, Jeffery Thomas Johnson, and Whitney Goin.

Shannon Thornton as Joy
A hard-working designer who gets sidelined at work because her boss steals her ideas. Taking a risk at love, she follows her crush to Colorado but meets a shocking twist. Shannon’s role in Finding Joy will be her first holiday movie. The Connecticut native has been in other movies, with her last role in P-Valley (2020).
Tosin Morohunfola as Ridge
Tosin Morohunfola plays Ridge, a romantic interest for Joy. He comes as a knight in her moment of distress and amid a storm. When he is not acting, Morohunfola is a writer and director. He is a philanthropist, dedicating his resources to initiatives like Black Arts for Black Lives Charity, END SARS Nigeria, Nationwide Charities and Free Legal Aid for Protestors.
Brittany S. Hall as Ashley
Hall plays Ashley, a BFF and ride or die to Joy. In the movie, she is a companion, adviser and number one rooter to her friend, Joy. She has also played other roles, like Jamison Fields in BET’s The Game reboot. She recently won three awards at the Black Independent Filmmakers Association in Houston, including Best Actress.
Inayah as Littia.
Littia, another one of Joy’s BFF is played by Inayah. Littia, being a loyal friend and a girl’s girl, consistently lends a helping hand when needed. Inayah is a remarkable R&B singer and actress, recognised for her role in Rap Sh!t. Inayah was nominated for Best New R&B Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025. Her hit 2019 song “Best Thing” was awarded a platinum certification.
Aaron O’Connell as Colton
Aaron O’Connell plays Colton, a man Joy has a crush on. Perry teases viewers with a brewing romance between Joy and Colton. From his Instagram, Connell can be seen as a man who appreciates the simple things in life. He is an amazing dad, a pet lover and a family-orientated man.
