[FIRST LOOK] ‘Bird Box Barcelona’ Is The Movie Spin-Off We Didn’t Know We Needed

When the original was released on Netflix in 2018 there were several memes.

In the latest film however, the survivors aren’t even able to look at the people in the eyes without dying.

Now Netflix has announced a new spin-off from the hit movie that will be set in Barcelona.

The cast in this upcoming Netflix film will consist of Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Alejandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Diego Calva, Patrick Criado, Lola Duenas, Gonzola De Castro, Michelle Jenner  and Leonardo Sbaraglia.

The film will be based on the character Sebastian who must navigate through the streets of Barcelona in order to survive this mysterious disease that has affected people in the city.

With many twists and turns that will have you at the edge of your seat waiting for more.

The thriller is suppose to be set to released on July 14, 2023, directed by Mario Casas, who is also going to be in the film.

Bird Box Barcelona movie synopsis

From the producers of the global phenomenon, Bird Box, comes BIRD BOX BARCELONA, an expansion of the film that riveted audiences in 2018. After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, Sebastian must navigate his own survival journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona. As he forms uneasy alliances with other survivors and they try to escape the city, an unexpected and even more sinister threat grows.

Mario Casas has written his script alongside Deborah Francois who is also an actress and screenwriter.

We are excited to see what the film has to offer and the hope that it is as great as the first.
