Lifetime Television is set to profile The Queen of All Media in an upcoming full-length documentary. The Where Is Wendy Williams Documentary is a two night event and it is set to premiere on the network on February 24th and 25th.

Previously, back in 2021, Lifetime premiered another Wendy Williams documentary titled, titled, Wendy Williams: What a Mess!

What A Mess! was an authorized documentary with Wendy taking a look at her career and how she grew to be one of the most recognized voices in media.  Like the title suggests, this new documentary focuses on Wendy disappearing from the spotlight and what the reasons may be.  The last episode of the Wendy Williams Show aired in June of 2022.

Wendy Williams does appear in the Where Is Wendy Williams documentary, as can be seen in the trailer.  Her son, Kevin Hunter Jr. is also a big part of the documentary as well.

Back in 2021 when What A Mess was released, it was paired with a Lifetime movie about Wendy Williams as well.  Wendy Williams: The Movie starred Ciera Payton as Williams.

Where Is Wendy Williams is the culmination of 2+ years of following the former talk show host.

Wendy Williams Documentary synopsis:
After Wendy Williams was placed under a financial guardianship and her hit talk show was unexpectedly canceled, she was determined to make a career comeback. Opening the doors to her private life like never before, cameras chronicled her comeback journey to reclaim her life and legacy despite facing health issues and personal turbulence. With unparalleled access granted by Wendy to film with her and her family for nearly two years, what was captured was not what anyone expected. The documentary provides a raw, honest and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life after she was placed under financial guardianship, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that has turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself. Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior and declining health were all captured by the cameras. Where Is Wendy Williams? is the story of Wendy’s journey to resurrect her career, and what filmmakers discovered along the way. But many questions remain — who truly has Wendy’s best interest at heart? Is she healthy now?

What illness does Wendy Williams have??

Wendy Williams suffers from Graves’ Disease, the same illness that Missy Elliott suffers from. Mayo Clinic describes Graves’ Disease as an “immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones (hyperthyroidism).”  Missy was diagnosed back in 2013, while Wendy Williams publicly announced her illness in 2018.

While Wells Fargo insisted that Wendy Williams needed a guardianship to oversee her money

Where Is Wendy Williams? Documentary drama

It wouldn’t be 2024 if there wasn’t some drama surrounding this release.  Wendy’s ex husband, Kevin Hunter is apparently livid about the documentary’s release and the way his ex is portrayed.  He previously said he wanted nothing to do with the documentary and was apparently surprised to see his son had signed off on it and agreed to be in it.

Similarly, Kevin Hunter was angered over his portrayal in the Wendy Williams movie on Lifetime.

Nonetheless, the show will go on.

When does the Wendy Williams Documentary air?

The four-and-half hour, two-night documentary Where Is Wendy Williams? will debut Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24 and 25, at 8 p.m. On the Friday night prior, Lifetime will encore the biopic Wendy Williams: The Movie and her 2021 documentary, Wendy Williams: What a Mess.
