If you know anything about Gospel music, then you know that no conversation about contemporary Gospel can happen without including The Clark Sisters.  The legendary Gospel family will get their needed spotlight this Spring when Lifetime premieres their biopic.  The Clark Sisters movie is a long time coming, but better late than never.

The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel shines a light on the matriarch of the family and the force behind The Clark Sisters,  their mother Mattie Moss Clark, played by Aunjanue Ellis.

The Clark Sisters movie is being produced by Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, and Missy Elliott.  The film’s musical director is Donald Lawrence. Lawrence produced the last album from The Clark Sisters.
