R&B quartet Jagged Edge have flown under the radar for a number of years, quietly releasing albums just about every 3 years since the mid 2000s. Most recently they released an impressive album titled, Layover in 2017. After some legal troubles for group member Kyle, all four members are back for the group’s 10th album. A Jagged Love Story is finally here!
The Jagged Edge A Jagged Love Story album was originally set to be released on July 15, 2019. The group shared the news on their Instagram and even had a listening event in the days ahead of the release. The album was pushed back without warning and the group has since changed the release date several times. The expectation last was Fall 2019. Now, we’re in 2020 and there is still no word on an exact release date. As of January 2nd no official date has been announced.
During the Jagged Edge vs. 112 Verzuz Battle, the group revealed that the new album would be released on June 15th 2020!
That didn’t happen either.
But we now have a new release date: Tuesday July 28th.

The album was still a bit tardy, but it is finally here. Revealed on Friday July 31, 2020.
The group originally released the lead single from the album, the sensual, “Closest Thing To Perfect.” The song was first unveiled a couple months ago. The group has since released a visual for the track as well.
A second single was released at the end of September titled, “Genie.” It’s another song to hold over fans as the wait continues for the long anticipated project. Listen to the Jagged Edge Genie single below and watch the official video…
On the Verzuz battle, they revealed that the third single, titled, “Decided” would be revealed ahead of the forthcoming album. The preview sounded like another amazing track. Jagged Edge also revealed that A Jagged Love Story would feature 29 songs. That has since been updated and the group announced the album would feature 31 songs.
The video for the new song has since been released.
All these years later, the guys have remained their authentic selves. Can’t help but be excited for another full album from this talented group.
Fans continue to wait, some more patiently than others, for the album to be released, but Jagged Edge has put out yet another new single. Titled, “Seasons of Us” the song is produced by legendary producer Bryan-Michael Cox.
