Tyler Perry’s Studios has just announced that they will have begun filming the new Sistas spin-off series. Tyler Perry’s Sistas is the #1 rated cable series among Black viewers, so it makes sense that they would deliver a spin-off. Tyler Perry’s Zatima has already begun filming and is expected to premiere on BET+ in early 2022.

The 10-episode one-hour series follows Zac, played by Devale Ellis and Fatima, played Crystal Renee Hayslett, as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship. Fatima wasn’t an original character on Sistas, but she was introduced in the second season as Zac’s love interest.
The season three finale of Tyler Perry’s Sistas, premiered on Wednesday, December 22nd. We’ll continue to see more of Zac and Fatima there before they take their story to the next level on BET+ in Tyler Perry’s Zatima.
Zatima is the second series from Tyler Perry that earned a spin-off on BET+. The Oval garnered the spin-off Ruthless on BET+ as well. It’s already 2 seasons in.
