Weeks later, the physical incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock at this year’s Oscars is still being talked about. Not only by fellow friends and fans of the notable entertainers but, apparently, Smith’s wife as well. Jada Pinkett Smith responds to Oscars slap? More below.
According to exclusive reports from US Weekly, the actress wishes her husband didn’t lay hands on Rock.
“It was in the heat of the moment, and it was him overreacting. He knows that; she knows that. They’re in agreement that he overreacted,” an unknown source allegedly told the publication.
If you didn’t know, during the ceremony, Rock cracked a tasteless joke about Pinkett Smith’s low hair, which is due to a disease by the name of alopecia.
In Rock’s comedic remark, he compared her hair to Demi Moore’s hair in the classic ‘90s film G.I. Jane.
Noticing the discontent on his wife’s face, Will Smith arose from his seat, walked on stage, and smacked the actor-comedian.
Smith has since issued a public apology; however, the backlash from the altercation is increasing by the day.
Netflix and Sony have currently halted production on Smith’s latest projects, Fast and Loose and Bad Boys 4.
