Fans react to the final episode of the Wendy Williams Show and the reviews are mixed. Today (June 17th) is the final episode of the Wendy Williams Show after 13 years of syndication. Variety announced the news on June 14th and let readers know that Wendy Williams would not be in attendance.

Wendy Williams has been absent from her show all throughout the 2021-2022 season, due to a number of issues, including her battle with Graves’ disease, her breakup from her ex-husband, and her ongoing case with Wells Fargo. The show has been airing with several guest hosts and panelists, including Sherri Shepherd, who hosted the final episode. She will also be taking over Wendy’s timeslot with her new show, Sherri.

Fans have mixed reviews about the final episode of the Wendy Williams Show.

Some fans are nostalgic about the Wendy Williams Show. Other fans are not happy with the finale, especially since they only did a video montage of Wendy Williams rather than actually having her on the show.

It’s official No more Wendy Williams Show. An end of era. She was done wrong on so many levels. pic.twitter.com/nseToUT42A

I hate that Wendy Williams isn’t getting a proper send off from Daytime TV today. She should’ve got the chance to walk through those doors and say How U Doin one last time regardless of her situation. 13 seasons and her send off is a video montage? Out of line and order!

I don’t like this Sherri Shepherd/Wendy Williams show situation. This is just not how I wanted the Wendy Williams show to end. It feels like the show is being stolen from Wendy. If they decided to cancel it & give Sherri a separate show then okay, but having the same staff? No.

‘The Wendy Williams Show’ ending is so crazy to me. I worked there for 4 years and had a ball. That staff was hilarious, some of my favorite people I have EVER worked. I have so many crazy, funny, wild stories from those days – wouldn’t trade my time there for anything.

Lot of y’all suddenly liking Wendy Williams have never watched her show. She is the most dishonest, nosy, judgmental, transphobic, hot air balloon alive. She disrespects black women guests more than any other guest on her show. Whitney Houston called her a low down dirty bitch.

Fun fact: my mom heard on the Wendy Williams radio show in 2004 that Lion King was having open call auditions in New York. She took me, and I booked Nala! My first ever acting job.

Thanks Wendy! 🖤 https://t.co/oUgqOc8mB8

I really wished Wendy Williams got to come back and do a farewell show. It’s ain’t right. But I hope she comes back with a podcast, and film it and put it on YouTube too or her own site. And then she can be as uncensored as she wants

I’ll never feel bad for Wendy Williams for years she’s been ugly to people on her show and off it

I really can’t believe I’m watching the final Wendy Williams show without Wendy Williams. I’ve been watching the 6 week sneak peak.

I don’t like Sherry Shepherd promoting her projects on the last episode of The Wendy Williams show. This is a damn shame.
