AMC is coming up with a new series titled ‘Interview With The Vampire’ and the cast members are as thrilling as the storyline. While the trailer is making us ask certain questions, an interview with TV Insider confirms that it is not a remake of the 1994 ‘interview with a vampire’ movie but rather a 2022 continuation.
Not forgetting that this series is based on Anne Rice’s best-selling novel and is the first in the collection to be made into a series after rights to Rice’s iconic works were obtained.
“…I recognize both the responsibility and the obligation we owe the material. I strongly believe that with AMC and Rolin Jones we are equipped to meet this challenge and to thrill and entertain both the loyal Anne Rice fan and the viewer who is just now discovering her work,” said Johnson, an executive producer.
The prominent cast members that will feature in this 2022 movie adaptation are Jacob Anderson, Bailey Bass, Sam Reid, and Eric Bogosian. They play the characters Louis de Pointe du Lac, Claudia, Lestat de Lioncourt, and Daniel Molloy.
While we will get to see other stars as the movie goes on, here are other characters to expect. Kalyne Coleman as Grace De Pointe Du Lac, Chris Stack as Thomas Anderson, Dana Gourrier as Bricktop Williams, and Paris and Peyton Turner as Grace’s Twins.
The pioneering gothic best-selling novel by Anne Rice is reimagined in a sensual and modern way. The series takes us through the lives of three main characters and their bond high filled with emotions. Love, blood and the dangers of immortality, what else can we expect from ‘Interview With The Vampire’?

Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac
Louis is a black man in early 20th-century New Orleans. He finds it unable to refuse the rakish Lestat De Lioncourt’s invitation as he craves immortality. When Loius tries to find humanity despite being a vampire, he soon realises that eternal existence might be a lot more than he might be willing to handle.
Bailey Bass as Claudia
In the classic novel and film, Claudia is a character who died as a child. However, she is a normal child who becomes Lestat’s newest vampire pup. The 14-year-old joins the duo after being turned and goes through unusual ordeals while being stuck in a 14-year-old body.
Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt
Lestat, a cold-hearted vampire, invites Louis to be his vampire companion because Loius is frustrated by the restrictions of his situation. He becomes Loius’s master, maker and lover. He ends up turning Claudia as well and then taking her in as his pup.
Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy
Daniel Molloy is an investigative journalist. Close to the end of his career, he gets another opportunity at life in the interview of a lifetime. What would he do differently?
