It appears that Method Man is very interested in playing Lucas Bishop in a production for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
2019 saw Method Man upload a fan-made picture of him dressed as Bishop on his Instagram account. The Wu-Tang Clan legend dressed up like an X-Men comic book character two years later.
The actor/rapper is once more attempting to play Lucas Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The “You’re All I Need” hitmaker discussed his plans for the Disney-owned superhero movies on the big screen in an interview with Cassius magazine.
Method Man expressed, “I was just throwing it out there to see if I could hook something.
“Those MCU guys are experts in their field. So far, I haven’t had any issues with any of their casting decisions.”
Method Man Wants To Play Lucas Bishop
“Omar Sy did an excellent job as Bishop [in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, but that was before MCU. If they chose him again, I think he’d kill it,” the Tical rapper furthered.
“There’s a few people out there. But if they’re willing to give me a shot, I’d go for it. Plus, I’ve done all the research already.”
Method Man began his career as a recording artist, but in the 1990s, the Staten Island native moved into acting, appearing in feature films like How High, Belly, On the Come Up, and Soul Plane, as well as TV shows like The Wire, The Deuce, and Oz.
He currently plays Davis MacLean on Power Book II: Ghost (produced by 50 Cent) on Starz, which just had its third season premiere on March 17.
