Nolcha Fashion Week was a collaboration of amazing designers who brought originality and spunk to the runway. Nolcha Fashion week began September 13th with designers such as Segreto London, Narciss, Stephan Seo, and Afanador.
Secreto London brought a punk rock style to the runway, describing his collection as “Raw, kinky, and daring dreams of a modern man. Limited edition collaborations that form the definition of male and female sexuality in style and vision…”
Narciss also made an appearance this year with a collection of various floral print dresses. “Narciss aims to create feminine yet strong designs with Baltic flavor using only high quality natural materials, like linen, silk, wool, cashmere, as well as organic cotton and bamboo.” Narciss was the only designer on the runway whose main objective was to showcase designs for the female audience.
Stephan Seo’s collection was the modern form of Wall Street business attire. Very well made suits, trench coats, blazers, made of 100% cashmere and wool. Stephan Seo uses the finest French, Belgian, Japanese, Italian, Scottish, English Fabrics to create his pieces, the average suit will cost about $2,800.
Afanador’s collection was very unique for both the female and male audience, inspired by their pre-Columbian ancestors that referred to gold as “Sweat of the sun, Tears of the moon”. Afanador’s collection was made up of long gowns, short cocktail dresses, jackets, pants which all contained unique patterns, leather, gold accents, nylon nets and lace.  Accessory designers definitely made an impact this fashion week. Designers such as Ana Gutierrez, Elly Clay and Marla Cielo came out to display their one of kind designs.
Ana Gutierrez described her line as “Urban Jungle”. Her collection was made up of animal print bags, lamb and rabbit skin printed with animal print patterns, a lot of metallic accessories. Her collection was made up of a lot of recycled materials, “the pieces are handmade in sterling silver, leather, feathers, and semi precious stones, using wearing techniques with a modern tribal style. The collection reflects the beauty of nature’s balance.”
Elly Clay, I must say was one of my favorite designers at Nolcha Fashion Week. She described her accessory collection as “Urban, Chic, New York Style”. Most of the collection was made up of leather, studded bags, fera fringe, zippers, and animal print. Elly Clay is very edgy and sexy, check out their website www.ellyclay.com.
Marla Cielo was a very unique designer because every piece in her collection was completely different. Every luxury bag was created from an original hand printed canvas mural. “Marla Cielo handbags are timeless creations. Each piece is a functional work of art that incorporates high quality construction.” Each mural creates a limited run of 8-12 pieces, all of Marla Cielo’s handbags are handmade, and each piece is completely different and original.
Fashion Week is a very exciting time for designers to display their wonderful creations, and have people appreciate their hard work and dedication. Fashion is art and art was in full swing at Nolcha Fashion Week.

The 9th Annual Nolcha Fashion Week was a collaboration of amazing designers who brought originality and spunk to the runway. Nolcha Fashion week began September 13th with designers such as Segreto London, Narciss, Stephan Seo, and Afanador.  Nolcha is a leading platform for independent global fashion brands, providing business support, events and online programs for designers and retailers–aimed at making business easier for the fashion minded.
