Is the music world ready for Chris Brown yet? Thus far, the answer has been a big, fat NO, but the Chris Brown single, “Yeah 3x,” is hoping to change minds. The track is off his latest album, F.A.M.E., set to release in 2011.
Since the unfortunate Rihanna assault scandal, Brown has been missing in action and has had the doors of Hollywood literally slammed in his face. His 2010 project, Fan Of A Fan, was a totally self-produced work with Tyga featuring only minimal help from Jive Records for strictly promotional purposes.
Brown has been all over the media promoting his latest work, with plenty of press appearances including Access Hollywood and BET’s 106 & Park.
Feedback on the single has been extremely positive, which will hopefully lift some of the bans many radio stations have placed against the singer since the 2009 Rihanna assault scandal.
Following Chris Brown’s domestic assault incident, Pittsburgh’s 96.1 program director said:
We have made the decision to take all Chris Brown songs off the radio, although we are fans of Chris’ music, and this will not last forever. It appears Chris made some poor choices, so we are following the lead of our listeners and will put his music on hold on 96.1 KISS until the alleged situation gets resolved.
Only time will tell who is ready to forgive Chris Brown for the domestic assault incident, but with his fresh, feel-good single, “Yeah 3x,” how can you resist?
