Janet Jackson Signs Copies of New Book in NYC

Janet Jackson made a rare public appearance at Barnes & Noble last weekend to sign copies of her book, True You: A Guide to Finding and Loving Yourself. This is Janet’s first book and in it she reveals her own personal struggles with self esteem, addresses rumors and shares life lessons. The book debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and Janet explains, “I am so excited to share my story, and the lessons that I have learned on my journey to finding and loving myself.”

True You was written with the help of Janet’s personal trainer Tony Martinez, who has worked with her for the past nine years. With his help, Janet was able to develop muscle, tone and confidence. Janet opens up to us by sharing with us her innermost feelings about body image, even as young actress.

Janet’s Up Close and Personal Tour is very much like True You, in which Janet is more intimate and more revealed. In each city, Janet will bring something different to her performance making each show is unique. “My tour is up close and personal and I can think of no better way to be close to my fans than to meet them at these book signings”, said Janet.
