A Hip-Hop music festival at its finest and its only getting better with time. Guerilla Union presents Rock The Bells 2013 as it celebrates its tenth anniversary. No holds barred and they have a reputation of bringing in some of the who’s who of hip-hop echelon—and this year will be no different. The line up is virtually endless as it scales the realms of old and new school performances. Ticket holders won’t be disappointed.

Scheduled on the old school line up, fans can expect to see: Bone Thugs-N- Harmony, Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, E-40, KRS-ONE, Rakim, Slick Rick, Too $hort and Wutang Clan. New school will bring out: A$AP MOB, Black Hippy, J. Cole, Juicy J, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Wale just to name a few of the forty projected acts to perform during the three remaining cities on the tour. Earlier this month, Rock The Bells took over Los Angeles; next will be San Francisco (Sept. 14-15), Washington, D.C. (Sept. 28-29), and New York (Oct. 4-5). Additionally, there will be virtual hologram performances by Ol’ Dirty Bastard (with Wu-Tang Clan) and Eazy-E (with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony). Complete Line Up.

When asked about the progression in booking electronic dance music to a hip-hop festival, Guerilla Union President Chang Weisberg explained in a press release: “It’s important to acknowledge the bridge being gapped between Hip-Hop and EDM. They’re no longer two exclusive genres and we’re starting to see major overlap between both styles, especially in areas like LA, NYC, and DMV. Hip-Hop is not one dimensional, it’s actually more diverse than it’s ever been, and I’m glad that we’re able to showcase and celebrate the many different sub-styles of the genre.

Not only will fans experience electronic dance music at the festival for the first time, but they will also experience an entirely new venue in New York and Washington, DC. Weisberg states: “We’re excited to add to Rock the Bells history by bringing the tour to two never-before-used venues on the east coast. Meadowlands Racetrack has a beautiful, massive grass infield and is just a quick train ride from the heart of Manhattan, making it a perfect location for our festival. Additionally, the Festival Grounds at RFK Stadium in D.C. have a prime, traditional layout with open floor General Admission and VIP standing room, which will make the event flow easy to navigate for our fans.”

General admission and VIP tickets are still available for the remaining cities; visit www.rockthebells.net for more details on pricing, show times and contests.
