2 Chainz has come right out the gate in 2015 with new power moves. Today he announced the launch of his new record label, of course titled The Real University. The label will feature his artists, CAP1, who was featured on “Where U Been?” off 2 Chainz last album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time. Other artists in the camp are Skooly, Young Dolph, Bankroll Fresh and Fresh formerly known as Short Dawg. 2 Chainz describes the label as “a platform and home for rising artists to shine their “Tru,” authentic talent.”
Along with the TRU label announcement came the mixtape information. The mixtape Tru Jack City will be released on January 27, 2015 via LiveMixtapes.com. It will be hosted by 2 Chainz’s personal and tour DJ, DJ E.Sudd and will include all original music.
Every Tuesday leading up to the project release will be dubbed TRUsday and a new track from the compilation will be released at 2p.m. via the 2 Chainz twitter @2chainz.
