Here’s some news we’re excited about. Singer, songwriter Emily King, who burst onto the scene in 2007 with her debut album, East Side Story and it’s single, “Walk In My Shoes,” which talked about her growing up and finding her self as a mixed young woman in this world. The project would be nominated for a Grammy in the Best Contemporary R&B Album of the Year category. After a bit of a hiatus, King, now 28, is returning in 2015, along with a new look, for her sophomore album. The Emily King The Switch album was released on June 26, 2015.
Emily King is an American singer and songwriter. She is currently 37 years old and was born in New York. She started her career in 2004 and dropped her first album in 2007.
While Emily has been out of the limelight, she has remained on the road, touring with artists such as Alicia Keys, John Legend, Maroon 5, Emeli Sande, Sara Bareilles and much more. The Switch however is her first official new music release since leaving J Records. The album will be released independently via her own label Making Music Records.
