Singer/songwriter and classically trained chef, Kelis will be releasing her first cook book this Fall. Kelis Rogers, has always been a foodie. One of her break-out hits was “Milkshake” and her latest album was amply titled, Food. The entertainer finally bridges the gap between her two passions officially with the release of the first Kelis Cookbook on September 28th.
MY LIFE ON A PLATE Recipes from Around the World provides stories from Kelis and details her love and passion for food. The book is also a collection of her favorite recipes. It features a mix of foods from her Puerto Rican heritage, such as Pernil (Puerto Rican Pork Shoulder), Arroz con Gandules, and Shrimp Alcapurias along with dishes she created after discovering them on her travels around the world such as Malay Curry Chicken and Swedish Meatballs.
