Chrisston Jones was born in Compton, California on May 16, 1989, and has been a resident there his whole life. He began making music in 2004 and is regarded as a Hip-Hop artist who wants to make his own path. He’s not the typical artist that comes out of South Los Angeles. Chrisston has the type of musical talent that can be developed to the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Pac, Biggie Smalls, and the rest of the greats.
Chrisston is completing his project Roosevelt & Delores Son which showcases many different Hip-Hop styles that people are going to love. The album chronicles the struggles that he has endured in his life while living in one of the roughest cities in America. In a twist, the album is going to highlight the honest and good people who work 9 to 5 jobs instead of turning to gang life or drug life to survive in the hood.
Chrisston believes that if he is signed to a major label, he can provide hope and alternative ideas for the new generation of Hip-Hop music. He believes that with hard work and dedication, he can help bring Hip-Hop back to its greater days, like the era’s of Rakim , Big Daddy Kane, Nas , Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and rest of the pioneers of Hip-Hop.
Chrisston has released a music video for the album single called “Let Me Vent.” Upcoming videos are expected to the singles “Never Satisfied” and “Funky Weekend” which is sample off the “James Brown – “Payback”.
Give Chrisston a listen, and see why he is part of the future of Compton music and Hip-Hop in general. With the proper label behind him, there is no limit to his potential!
