Drake Most Streamed Spotify Artist EVER, With “One Dance” Single

Drake has done it again. With plentiful nominations at the AMA and Soul Train awards and on the road raking in dollars for his latest tour, he is happy to add “Most Streamed Spotify Artist EVER” to his growing list of accomplishments. It’s no surprise that the Toronto bred artist has surpassed yet another record. The song “One Dance” makes Drake most streamed Spotify song in history, completely crushing the previous record holder, “Lean On” by Major Lazor featuring DJ Snake and MO, out of the top spot.

With 880 million streams, its no doubt that the artists who’s left us with multitudes of Instagram captions has earned his spot at the top. The track which features a Nigerian artist, Wizkid, held a cool R&B, island mixture that set the bar high for summer songs and was one of the official anthems of summer sixteen.

Drake’s album Views went number one on the charts in the US this summer. Then his Summer Sixteen tour with Future made headlines all across the country.  Drake is currently firming up dates for the European leg, which he calling his Boy Meets World Tour.   Things seem to be looking up for the rapper after a rough couple of weeks. First he had to cancel a few shows due to a recent injury. Then he split with his former girlfriend, long time crush and Caribbean pop princess, Rihanna.

Due to Drake’s emotional history in music, and the recent heartbreak, we can all guarantee that the next album is going to nothing but flames.
