Meet Ray J’s Wife, Princess Love-Norwood

Multi-media maven, Mona Scott-Young’s Love & Hip Hop franchise continues to reign on top of VH1’s ‘high ranked shows’ list. Known for their infamous drink throwing, hair pulling, baby-daddy-baby-mama dramatics, the franchise flourishes on bringing ratchet entertainment every Monday night. However, although seeing a few cat fights and getting the latest celebrity tea may be quite entertaining, we have to admit that the #BlackLove displayed on the show is a delight to see as well.  From Jim Jones and Chrissy Lampkin to Wacka Flocka and Tammy Rivera, Love & Hip Hop has shined the limelight on a variety of our now favorite reality TV couples, who we grew to admire.  One in the forefront happens to be singer/actor, Ray J and his lovely wife, Princess Love-Norwood. The dynamic duo made their grand entrance onto VH1’s hit show, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood back in 2014, instantly causing conversation on the show amongst viewers all across the world.

After troublesome relationship woes with his ex-girlfriend, Teairra Mari, Ray J soon found love elsewhere, welcoming in model/designer, Princess Love. Although things were rocky in the beginning between the pair, they’ve been going strong ever since.

Many doubted the union, but the two proved they wanted to be together forever on the tarmac of an airport in front of a private jet, where Ray J asked for Princess’s hand in marriage—and, of course, she said ‘yes’!

On August 12th, 2016, after being engaged for almost eight months, the two joined in holy matrimony in front of 150 guests at the Vibiana in Los Angeles, California. Gracing the altar in a gorgeous beaded Lazaro ball-gown,  Princess Love looked amazing on her special day.

But, while we could go on and on about the ‘Princess Love and Ray J love affair’, there’s definitely a lot more to Princess Love than what meets the eye. Here’s a brief introduction to the beauty herself.
Born to Filipino and African-American parents, Princess Love entered the world on August 14th, 1984 in Oakland, California. Though she was born in ‘Oaktown’, as a young child, she was uprooted to Austin, Texas and began life there.

After completing high school, Princess went on to become an alumnus of both Texas Southern University and the International Academy of Design & Technology. With a passion for fashion, the 32-year-old knew at an early age that she definitely wanted to turn her passion into profit.

Along with her love for fashion, came an interest in modeling as well. As an aspiring model, she appeared on the cover of SMOOTH Magazine—a publication geared towards the urban culture. The cover gained Princess a great bit of popularity, with her alluring looks standing out to many.

Taking her beauty to a bigger platform and bigger city, Princess soon hit the stage in Las Vegas, becoming an adult dancer for a while. However, the soon-to-be fashion designer and model had bigger plans for herself.

Outside from scoring a spot on the critically acclaimed reality series, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, Princess started her own clothing line, called the ‘Princess Love Collection’. The collection features a plethora of top-notch pieces, all designed by Mrs. Norwood herself.

With a growing social media following, business has been booming. So much so that the self-made businesswoman and boss recently started her own hair collection, ‘Prella Hair Collection’, as well. The luxury hair brand is powered by ‘HairTRONiks’—a subdomain to her husband’s company, ‘RayTRONiks’.

Over 850K Instagram followers and 50K on Twitter, the Princess Love brand continues to thrive and reach new heights.

When she’s not standing in front of a greenscreen or cashing checks, Princess enjoys dancing, hanging out with loved ones, being around her husband, and shopping with girlfriends. She also takes pleasure in communicating with fans through social media, giving hilarious commentary on the show, and putting a few people in check every now and then—when need be, that is.

However, her feisty personality seems to be what makes her all the more lovable, right?!

A wife, an entrepreneur, all seems to be going just fine with Mrs. Princess Love-Norwood. Despite her previous differences with Ray and even his family, we’d like to think that things are looking up now. Her sister-in-law, Brandy, was the beautiful maid of honor standing behind her at the altar.

As for Mama Norwood’s prenuptial or postnuptial requests, we’re not sure if that will be happening any time soon. But, at least they are in good graces, from what we know.
