A Shawty Lo Posthumous Album Drops This March – Hear First Single “My Love”
R.I.C.O., The Shawty Lo Posthumous Album Coming Soon, Single With Lyfe Jennings Released
The world lost Carlos Rico Walker, also known as Shawty Lo, when he was killed in a single-car accident in Fulton County, Georgia last year. But his music still lives on to this day. So much so in fact that a Shawty Lo posthumous album is in the works, thanks to 300 Entertainment. The album, titled R.I.C.O., will be released this year on March 24th and will feature Boosie Badazz, Ralo, Shawty Lo’s children Quando and Keke, and more.
A notable feature on the project is T.I., who had a very public beef with Shawty Lo for a few years. Nice to see him featured on the album.
Shawty Lo entered the music industry in 2003 as the founding member of the Hip-Hop group, D4L. He went on the release his solo album, Units In The City, which spawned his biggest hit, “Dey Know” in 2008. The Atlanta native kept the sound of the city moving and even signed to G-Unit Records a few years ago.
Today, the label has released the first single from the Shawty Lo posthumous album, “My Love,” which features Lyfe Jennings.
