Drake Breaks Into Forbes Magazine’s Top 5 of Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists

Forbes magazine has released their annual list of Hip-Hop’s wealthiest artists and there aren’t many surprises to this year’s last, besides the inclusion of Drake into the Top 5. This list isn’t to be confused with their annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, which we’re sure will be revealed in a few weeks. The list of Hip-Hop’s wealthiest artists looks at overall wealth.

In order to create the list, Forbes takes into account “past earnings, value current holdings, leaf through financial documents and talk to analysts, attorneys, managers, other industry players and even some of the moguls themselves to discover the details.”

Here’s the list of the Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists
1.  Puff Daddy – $750 Million
2.  Dr. Dre  – $710 Million
3.  Jay-Z  –  $610 Million
4.  Birdman  –  $110 Million
5.  Drake  – $60 Million

50 Cent, who was featured in the Top 5 for almost a decade has fallen off considerably, in part because he had to file for bankruptcy last year.
