Syd Treading Water With New Single
Syd is still feeling the success of her debut solo album Fin. So much so that the young singer is still releasing new music, just weeks after dropping her album. She treated her fans to a bonus track on Monday morning titled “Treading Water.”
“Gonna drop a song on my SoundCloud tomorrow at 10 am PST,” Syd wrote on Twitter today. “This was my favorite song on #FIN before I had to cut it…”
So as it turns out, “Treading Water” is a bonus cut from Fin that didn’t end up making it onto the final project. It’s produced by Internet bandmate Steve Lacy and frequent collaborator Flip Colson. The song definitely sounds like it would have been a perfect fit on the album. And it most definitely sounds like it would be on an Internet album.
