Tamar Braxton’s New Single “My Man” Continues To Build A Buzz

Singer and reality television star, Tamar Braxton, recently released her newest single “My Man”. The song is a tribute to her mother, Evelyn Braxton, and inspired by the struggles that took place in her parent’s marriage. She first premiered the song on an episode of Braxton Family Values.

“My Man” is the 2017 version of Kelly Price’s “Friend of Mine”. In the song, Tamar talks about how a woman who stole her man. However, it wasn’t just any woman, it was someone close to her and her family. As the song progresses she talks about how woman spent time with her kids and ate dinner with her family. The woman even had the audacity to converse about relationship issues with the wife of the man she was seeing. It’s that just trifling.

Tamartians and R&B lovers everywhere are mostly captivated by the lyrics. Even, though Tamar sounds amazing vocally, her lyrics are very touching, the prose is filled with phrases and thoughts that a person would actually say in this situation. Who other than Tamar Braxton would belt out lyrics like “Bxtch acted like she was my friend. She called me about her man, what I didn’t understand, she was talking about my man.” Then she puts the cherry on top with an unforgettable “HEFFA!”

Fans of the BFV already know the story of how Evelyn’s husband, Michael Braxton Sr., cheated on her with his mistress for nine years of their marriage. After they divorced, he proceeded to marry his other woman. To this day Michael Sr. and his wife, Miss Wanda, are still married. Currently, the drama in the show is that Michael Sr. wants to start bringing his wife around the family, but all six of the Braxton woman are not having it.

“My Man” is now available on iTunes and is the lead single off of Tamar’s upcoming album. No other details on her fourth studio album have been released. However, she has announced that she is currently touring with R&B singer Anthony Hamilton.
