Diddy Tops Forbes 2017 Celebrity 100 List

And The Richest Celebrity is… Diddy

It’s always interesting and depressing to see how rich celebrities are and this year will definitely make you go wow with Diddy topping Forbes yearly list of the top 100 celebrity earners of the year. Diddy moved from 22nd place in 2016 with $62 million to 1st in 2017 with a total pretax earning of $130 million.  Diddy beat out Beyonce and last year’s richest celebrity Taylor Swift.  That’s quite a come up, but how did he manage it?

Well, we know that Diddy isn’t one to put out albums much anymore, so most of his bucks now come in the form of partnerships (Like Ciroc vodka) and stakes he owns in companies (Revolt TV, DeLeón tequila, Aquahydrate alkaline water, etc). The Bad Boy Reunion Tour also hooked Diddy up as the 25 stop tour no doubt pulled in a big portion of earnings with arenas like the Barclays Center selling out in minutes.

The big one, however, was that Diddy sold 80% of his Sean John fashion lifestyle company to Global Brands Group for an estimated $70 million! Diddy founded the company in 1998 and it had found great success, gaining nearly half a billion dollars in annual sales a year. Diddy’s now sitting lavishly at a net worth of $820 million, which easily makes him not only the wealthiest man in Hip-Hop, but the richest celebrity in America.

Here’s a look at the Top 5 richest celebrities:
1.  Diddy – $130 Million
2.  Beyonce – $105 Millions
3.  J.K. Rowling – $95 Million
4.  Drake – $94 Million
5.  Cristiano Ronaldo – $93 Million
