Michael B. Jordan To Star In A Bittersweet Life Remake
Things are about to get a little ‘bittersweet’ for Michael B. Jordan in his latest film. The Creed actor will be starring in Fox’s forthcoming remake of the 2005 South Korean action-thriller, A Bittersweet Life. Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda), A Bittersweet Life will capture Jordan in the character-driven role of a mobster. Let’s just say, this is definitely a must-see.
According to Deadline, Jordan’s character’s longtime loyalties to his crime family are put to test when his boss orders him to kill a mistress who he’s recently become closely acquainted with.
Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen are producing in conjunction with CJ Entertainment–who also made the original A Bittersweet Life. Unfortunately, no further details have been released, but we will certainly be on the lookout.
There has been word that the filmmakers are also rooting to turn the film into a franchise in the near future.
In other news, 2017 has already been a great year for Michael B. Jordan. Aside from filming Fahrenheit 451, earlier this year, it was announced that he’d be starring in the newest Black Panther, alongside Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, and Angela Bassett, to name a few. The film is slated for 2018.
