Ledisi and Kirk Franklin Set To Embark On 27-City Tour
R&B songstress Ledisi and Gospel Mega-star Kirk Franklin have announced their plans for a join tour, kicking off this Fall, aptly titled, “The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour”. The co-headline tour will take Ledisi and Kirk Franklin to 27 cities starting on October 25th. The tour will make stops in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Atlanta among other stops.
Opening up for Ledisi and Kirk Franklin will be PJ Morton and MAJOR in select cities. Earlier this year Morton released Gumbo, his independent solo album. The Maroon 5 member continues to pave a way for himself as a solo artist.
Kirk Franklin will be performing many of his hits along with cuts off his Losing My Religion album, which was released in 2015. Ledisi will be performing a slew of her biggest records as well as songs from her soon to be released album, Let Love Rule.
In a statement released by her publicist, Ledisi said this of the upcoming tour:
“This tour is non-traditional on purpose. The goal is to not alienate anyone, bringing all people together and to perform music that inspires and reflect the human experience. This is an event for Music as a whole. That is why it is called ‘The Rebel, The Soul, and The Saint.’” She also goes on to say “How awesome will it be to see all these wonderful people on stage, fearlessly expressing life, spirit, and LOVE through music. I am looking forward to this tour with the great Kirk Franklin.”
