Could Rihanna Be Releasing a Lingerie Collection Next?!

Following the major, million-dollar success of Fenty Beauty, Rihanna just might have outdone herself… yet again. According to WWD, the “Wild Thoughts” singer is said to be working with TechStyle Fashion Group to launch an exclusive Rihanna lingerie line.

Although, as of right now, the forthcoming Rihanna lingerie line doesn’t have an official release date, it is reported that it has been in the works for a little over a year now, and TechStyle is actually already producing product samples.

Allegedly, sources told the outlet that the collaboration deal is more so of a strategic move in the online subscription-run fashion retailer’s efforts to file for an initial public offering.

“They’re of a size now that adding another brand, adding another category, would make sense to round out the product offering,” President and CEO of Greif & Co. Lloyd Greif told WWD. “What they want to do is show growth. The key to going public is having a growth track record or having growth in their windshield, not in the rearview mirror of the company. So, I’m sure the Rihanna brand play would be to convince the market that the company has strong growth ahead because IPOs are all about growth ahead.”

TechStyle carries a selection of handbags, shoes, jewelry and denim and is widely known for teaming with celebrity-linked brands to provide a “personalized shopping experience that is based on members’ indicated fashion preferences.”

The corporation, which has earned nearly $300 million to date, serves as the parent company to membership-based brands such as Fabletics (co-founded by actress Kate Hudson), ShoeDazzle (co-founded by Kim Kardashian-West in 2009), JustFab (previously led by model Kimora Lee Simmons).
