Birdman & Mannie Fresh Team Up For “Designer Caskets” Music Video

Birdman is getting closer and closer to that Cash Money reunion tour and we are especially here for it!!!  The rapper and mogul released a Cash Money documentary and soundtrack earlier this year via Apple Music.  “Designer Caskets” was one of the tracks on the project, reuniting the Big Tymers—Birdman and Mannie Fresh—after years of issues between the pair stemming from unpaid royalties.

The soundtrack also featured Turk on a solo single, one of the original Hot Boys.  No other original Cash Money members appeared on the soundtrack but (and B.G. is still incarcerated), but Juvenile and Turk do appear in the “Designer Caskets” music video.  Juvenile was the first Cash Money artist to leave over money, but he did come back to release another album with the crew a few years later before leaving again.

Unfortunately, as many will point out, Lil Wayne does not appear in the visual.  The good news though, is Lil Wayne and Birdman have appeared in numerous pictures with each other over the past few months despite pending legal action by Lil Wayne, also over royalties.

The music video, directed by Benny Boom, takes on a “First 48” theme, shot in New Orleans featuring much of the beauty of the city, but also looking at the reality that people in the city face.
