Hip-Hop has always been a sport and opinions are what makes the world of Rap interesting. While T.I. and Kodak Black have been exchanging words in the last week, Dave East has offered up a new opinion. The Harlem bred rapper has some words for Lil Nas X and the “Old Town Road” single.
In the video, the rapper was live, seemingly driving around the city. Without mincing words, Dave East says, “This fcking “Old Town Road” sht, is fckin WACK! I don’t know what the fck is going on with Hip-Hop, with Rap, but I ain’t no hater man, but—that shit is WACK!”

For the most part Lil Nas X has had mostly great feedback for the single. When Billboard would not list the song as a Country music song, the Hip-Hop community supported the young rapper and Billy Ray Cyrus lent his support for the remix. The song is the number one song in the country and has already broken several streaming records.
Dave East is saying what some people have been thinking for some time now however. Dave East calling Old Town Road doesn’t surprise many who are familiar with Dave East and his knack for lyricism.
