Cam’ron has released his new album Purple Haze 2, a sequel to what some would consider a classic in the first Purple Haze album released back in 2004. This will be the first solo official studio album in 10 years since his Crime Pays album in 2009. The album was released on Friday December 20th, 2019.
The Dipset leader has released the first single titled, “Believe In Flee” which is a dope record for his hardcore fan base. A visual to the song was also released.
Cam’ron has done a lot for the culture over the last 2 decades including his fashion where he made it cool for dudes to wear pink clothes and he is responsible for stars like Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Vado. He also helped pave a wave the for A$AP Mob to be successful out of Harlem.
One of the legendary memorable moments in Hip-Hop history was when Cam’ron and crew did a freestyle to rapper Scarface’s song On My Block on Rap City hosted by Big Tigger, with Cam going the hardest on the freestyle.
The biggest hit Cam’ron ever released is still “Hey Ma,” which in my opinion is a record that was the biggest song on the radio for Roc-A-Fella, which is saying a lot because of the great songs by Jay-Z. The song would peak at 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and it would be one of the songs that would bring Juelz Santana and the put the whole Dipset crew on the map before they later released the first Dipset compilation album titled, Diplomatic Immunity.
Cam’ron has also previewed an upcoming video for another song that hasn’t been released yet titled “Big Deal.” We should see the video in the near future as Cam gets into album mode and gives that new feel back into the music game.
