Just a month after releasing his long awaited joint project with Birdman, NBA Youngboy is back, announcing another new project is dropping. The NBA Youngboy Colors mixtape was supposed to be released on Friday January 14th, but was delayed until January 21st. Colors features all new music.
NBA Youngboy has released several songs from the project since the top of the year. A visual was released for the lead single “Fish Scale” 2 weeks ago.
A new song, “Emo Love” was released earlier this week as well. A couple days later an animated visual dropped to support it.
“Foolish Figure” dropped on Sunday and it already has over 2 million views on YouTube.
Another recent single is “Bring The Hook” which was revealed shortly after the cover art was released for the NBA Youngboy Colors mixtape.
On January 18th Youngboy released a new single titled, “Know Like I Know”. The song features a NLE Choppa diss and the rapper also takes shots at Lil Durk and O Block.
YoungBoy is currently on house arrest, in Utah, as he was able to post bail for two separate cases. As part of his agreement YoungBoy is not allowed to have social media, so YouTube and the music has been his only means to reach the fans. Kentrell is no stranger to the laws, having had several run-ins since 2016. Despite it all, his music has been incredibly successful. His last album, Sincerely, Kentrell, made it to Number 1 on the Billoard charts, even with the rapper being incarcerated when it was released (a feat only previously accomplished by 2 Pac and Lil Wayne).
