R&B crooner J. Holiday has released his long awaited fourth studio album. The singer, who made a name for himself in 2007 with the smash single, “BED” has continued to release songs and projects since, but none has quite reached the level of success or attention he received since the Capitol Records Back of My Lac’ album. The J. Holiday Time album was released on February 7th via EMPIRE.
J. Holiday just turned 40 in November of 2021, so he’s still in his prime as far as R&B music goes. Following his 2007 debut album, Holiday released Round 2 in 2009, while still on Capitol Records. The D.C. native went on to release Guilty Conscience independently in 2014, a grossly underrated album, which unfortunately can’t be found on streaming services. A fourth project does appear on Tidal/YouTube for the singer called Baecation with a November 2020 release date (via X-Ray Records/Cleopatra Records). The project is missing entirely from the singer’s Instagram so we’re not counting it as an official release.
Holiday has promoted several singles in the last couple of years. No word on if any will be featured on the upcoming Time album, but they have shown signs of quality from the singer, reminding listeners why they enjoyed his music since his outset. The most recent of those singles is “Ride,” which was released in April of last year.
A second single and third single were released titled, “Zero To Sixty” and “Feel Like”.
