G.I. Jane hairstylist Enzo Angileri is the latest to speak out about the physical altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock at this year’s Oscars.

If you didn’t already know, over the weekend, the two acting giants caused quite the controversy after their chaotic run-in during the formal ceremony.

Smith didn’t take Rock’s joke about Jada Pinkett Smith too well, and in an effort to stand up for his wife, who appeared to be offended, he went on stage and literally smacked the fellow entertainer.

Of course, while some may view Rock as the villain, there are a few who don’t necessarily see Smith as the victim either.

Angileri just so happens to be one of them.

Exclusively according to Page Six, the celebrity beautician actually thought Smith’s response to Rock was “completely unacceptable,” adding that he didn’t understand the fuss around Rock’s comedic remark.

“Jada, I love you, ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it,” Rock said.

G.I. Jane follows the fictional story of the first woman to undergo special operations training similar to the U.S. Navy SEALs, as reported by the film’s Wikipedia page.

Angileri, who is responsible for Moore’s iconic look in the 1997 classic, told the publication that he didn’t know that Pinkett Smith suffered from alopecia, a condition that occurs when the immune system attacks one’s hair follicles.

“I thought she looked amazing, so regal,” he expressed, also said to have noted that he thought Rock’s punchline was “cute” and “benevolent.” “I thought it was a beauty choice; I have never seen her look more beautiful.”

Having previously worked with Will Smith, though Enzo Angileri described him as a nice guy, he further went on to refute Smith’s actions at the awards show.

“It’s nothing to cause such a rolling of the eyes in my opinion, that stimulated her husband to act that way.”

Aside from the G.I. Jane hairdresser, supporters and other celebrities have since given even more opinions on the unfortunate event.

Recently, Jim Carrey was under fire for being “sickened” by Hollywood’s reaction to the ay that Smith handled Rock, and Zoë Kravitz is currently the talk of Twitter after shading Smith in an Instagram post.
