J. Prince Calls For Grammys Boycott, Urges Artists To Put On Concert At Same Time

In the late hours of Monday, American music executive  James Prince popularly known as J.Prince posted an audio clip on his Instagram titled “HIPHOP VS THE GRAMMYS.”  In the clip J. Prince calls for a Grammys boycott.  This is clearly in response to the recent banning of Ye from performing at the Grammys due to his ‘concerning online behavior.’

J.Prince went ahead in the audio clip to call out several artists, which he tagged in his caption: Drake, Kanye West, The Weeknd, and Nicki Minaj. He urged them to come together to boycott the Grammys and perform simultaneously as the Grammys on a special network and streaming platform.

“This is a slave master punish a nig##h mentality and act’ to remind us that no matter how much money we have, we are still nig##hs in their eyes,” he captioned.

Folks on social media seemed in support of the news that J. Prince Calls For a Grammys Boycott, especially on Twitter:

‘J Prince is a genius.’ One commented.

‘The fact that J Prince making it public makes me think he already discussed it with these artists & they at least open to it.’ Another said.

In the comment section, rapper Nicki Minaj replied to his post saying ‘respect.’ This seems like a strong approval from Nicki as for years, the recording academy has constantly snubbed the female rapper even after her many years of success in the music industry.

The Weeknd has boycotted the Grammys in recent years as well.
