Down South rapper B.o.B. released his seventh studio album, Better Than Drugs at midnight August 19, 2022, on all streaming platforms!

Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., known professionally as B.o.B, was born on November 15, 1988. He is an American hip-hop artist and record producer from Decatur, Georgia. In 2006, B.o.B was signed to Jim Jonsin’s Rebel Rock Entertainment imprint and two years later, Jonsin and B.o.B signed a joint venture deal, with Atlantic Records and T.I.’s Grand Hustle Records.

B.o.B quickly achieved commercial success when his debut single “Nothin’ on You” featuring Bruno Mars, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2009, and earned a Grammy Award for Record of the Year nomination. His singles “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore, and “Magic”, both reached the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100. B.o.B’s debut studio album The Adventures of Bobby Ray, released in 2010, was preceded by two EPs and several mixtapes. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

B.o.B was named the ninth “Hottest MC in the Game of 2010” by MTV, on their annual list. The following year, he was featured on Jessie J’s single “Price Tag”, which reached number one in the UK. B.o.B’s second studio album Strange Clouds, released in 2012, reached the top ten album on the Billboard 200. The album’s follow up singles “So Good” and “Both of Us” featuring Taylor Swift, were both certified platinum by the RIAA, and reached the top 20 in the US. He also released the song “Out of My Mind” featuring Nicki Minaj.

His third album Underground Luxury was released in 2013 and included the single “HeadBand” featuring 2 Chainz and was certified gold by the RIAA. He was later featured on Ty Dolla Sign’s single “Paranoid” which became a Top 40 hit in the US.

On May 12, 2017, the hip-hop artist released his fourth studio album, Ether. The album features guest appearances from artists like Lil Wayne, Young Thug, T.I., Big K.R.I.T., Ty Dolla Sign, Usher, CeeLo Green and Young Dro. Ether follows the conscious hip hop themes of his Elements mixtapes and was met with positive reviews from music critics.
