Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter on Friday to respond to “brutal” comments about the revelation that she had an abortion, not a miscarriage two years ago.
According to the American model and television personality when speaking at Propper Daley’s “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit on Thursday, the revelation that her 2020 pregnancy loss was in fact an abortion came as a shock to her.
“It had taken me over a year to understand that I actually had an abortion,” Chrissy Teigen said at the “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit. “It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention.”
“Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion,” she continued. “An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”
The public reaction to Chrissy Teigen’s confession has been “brutal“ and the TV personality decided to share screenshots of some to her Twitter page on Friday.
“Sounds like it was a miscarriage but she wants to stay relevant AND they are using her story to fit their narrative. At the end of the day, Idagf,” one said, adding an emoji. “Well we already gave you a Pity Party so what to do w/ this information?” another person wrote. In what seems to be in Chrissy’s defense, one wrote, “This comments section is so toxic. Wow.”
