The reviews are in, and it is a consensus! Kid Cudi’s Entergalactic is one of the best-animated films of 2022.
With a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and positive reviews on social media and movie critics, it’s evident that Netflix’s Entergalactic movie was well received. If you didn’t know, this Netflix animated movie was created and starring rapper, director and songwriter Kid Cudi.
Kid Cudi also released the album Entergalactic in collaboration with Netflix for this animated film. Not only do you watch a romantic and beautiful movie, but you also get to listen to transcendental music from the legendary Kid Cudi. The music fits perfectly with each scene, and you can see how much time and effort was placed into this masterpiece. This isn’t Kid Cudi’s first Project outside of music. The star has diversified his portfolio with acting, directing, and writing gigs for a while. The Entergalactic film is a modern romantic comedy starring Cudi as an aspiring cartoonist finally getting the recognition he deserves. He doesn’t plan on getting into anything serious, but when he meets Meadow, he can’t help but fall hard.
Other stars attached to the film include Timothée Chalamet as Jimmy (Jabari’s best friend) and Jessica Williams as Meadow( Jabari’s love interest) .
Considering Kid Cudi’s recent comments about leaving the music industry, this film has some of his best and most enjoyable music in the last decade. At least, in my opinion.
Aside from the music and how beautifully drawn and realistic the characters are, Entergalactic also has beautiful writing. The film depicts all of the characters as multi-dimensional, and as much as you’ll be rooting for the protagonist, you also feel sad for the side characters who don’t get the happy ending they deserve.
This movie is a total vibe if you’re looking for a romantic comedy that’s not too serious but still delivers a good time. The animation alone is stunning and will keep you glued to your TV for every second of this film.
