Disney’s The Little Mermaid poster is here and it is as beautiful as we expected.
Halle Bailey stars as Ariel in the latest live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. The talented singer and actress took to social media to share the new poster with her online community.

In an interview with Variety, Halle shared that she was always obsessed with The Little Mermaid (1989) as a child. She would spend hours and hours rewatching the 1989 Disney animated classic. Halle says she resonated greatly with Ariel and her need to find herself.
Now, as a successful 22-year-old girl, she’s finally getting the chance to create her own Ariel! And she is doing it her way!
Even though some fans weren’t thrilled with the casting of Halle Bailey as Ariel in this upcoming Disney movie, she has gained a lot of support from her family, friends, and true fans worldwide! Rob Marshall, the film’s director said Halle was a perfect fit to play Ariel because of her angelic voice. No one could beat her audition, so casting her as the next little mermaid was a no-brainer.
Walt Disney Studios also shared the poster, giving a better look at the live-action remake set to hit movie theaters on May 26, 2023. In the poster, Halle Bailey as Ariel sits atop a small rock under the sea, looking at the world above. Very similar to the original classic movie that made us all fall in love with Ariel in the first place.
