A California judge has issued a bench warrant for rapper Chief Keef not appearing in court on Wednesday for his 2021 DUI arrest.
Keith Farrelle Cozart, professionally known as rapper Chief Keef, did not appear in court on Wednesday November 03, 2022, for a court hearing related to his June 2021 DUI case, so the judge issued a $10K bench warrant.
According to sources for TMZ, there was an outstanding warrant for Chief Keef’s arrest stemming from the 2021 DUI arrest that occurred in June. Chief Keef was arrested on a DUI and released on bail, but did not appear for the court hearing, causing a warrant for his arrest to be issued at that time in California.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that police were running plates during a routine traffic stop last month and pulled Keef over for driving on a suspended or revoked license. That’s when officers saw an active warrant in the system from the June 2021 DUI case, and Keef was booked and released without bail.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Keef was ordered to appear in court on Wednesday, but he did not show up, which led to the current bench warrant being issued.
